Building Skill Assessments

 

Creating skill assessments in skillXchange is a straightforward process designed to ensure you can efficiently evaluate candidates’ skills and competencies. Follow these steps to build your assessments:

Accessing the Assessments Page

  1. Navigate to Assessments: In your side navigation, locate and open the Assessments page.

Creating Assessments Manually or Using AI

  1. Manual Creation or AI-Assisted Creation: You have the option to create assessments manually or leverage the skillXchange AI for custom assessment creation. Using AI is the most efficient way to get started.

Steps for AI-Assisted Assessment Creation

  1. Initiate AI Creation:
    • Click on the Robot Icon in your Assessment Tool Bar.
  2. Set Up Basic Assessment Information:
    • Enter a Name: Provide a name for your assessment.
    • Choose the Number of Questions: Select how many questions you want to include in your assessment.
    • Set a Minimum Pass Score: Define the minimum score required to pass the assessment.
    • Set Maximum Time: Determine the maximum amount of time a user has to complete the assessment.

Configuring Industry and Category

  1. Select Industry Classification: Choose an industry classification that best suits the focus of your assessment.
  2. Enter a Category: Specify a category or department for the assessment topic.
  3. Set Competency Level: Define the competency level to establish the difficulty of the assessment (e.g., Novice, Intermediate, Proficient, Advanced, Expert).

Defining Skills and Generating the Assessment

  1. View and Customize Skills:
    • Based on the topic, industry, and competency level, a list of relevant skills will be displayed.
    • You can add or remove skills to narrow or expand the scope of the test as needed.
  2. Generate the Assessment:
    • Click Next to proceed.
    • Complete the process by clicking Generate.

Review and Finalization

  1. Assessment Build Process:
    • The AI will build your assessment, which can take approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
    • During this time, the assessment will be marked as under review until it is completed.
